Rulf's Orchard has expanded and diversified over the years from a dairy farm to include homemade baked goods, a farmer's market and a large-scale plant and flower nursery.
Linda, below and left, the manager of the plant and nursery section, took time out from her busy schedule for a quick photo session. She really knows her plants and is very helpful to customers who seek additional information about planting flower, shrubs and other nursery plants.
So, if you are ever in the Adirondack area or even nearby, drop in, browse and shop around and say "Hi" to the friendly folks at Rulf's Orchard.

Introducing "A Way to Garden"
While doing some research about gardening, as I always do, I came upon a marvelous resource on the web: www.awaytogarden.com
This website is a valuable resource to those who are beginning gardeners to those more experienced gardeners. I found this site to be very reader-friendly with interesting articles, lessons in gardening and numerous photos. What is noteworthy is that the lead garden writer, Margaret, is a neighbor to the Adirondacks, residing in the Hudson Valley and says, "no to chemicals and yes to great plants."
